I had a Sunday School class to teach about two years ago and I
had a general idea of what I wanted to teach, but God dropped into
my spirit and changed my mind or maybe I should say He arose. He
told me to tell them to enter His rest and I didn't have the slightest
notion of what this encompassed.
I searched the scriptures and found little of this subject and
I continued on to church and told them what God had said. He also
showed me my pastor standing at the door with his foot in the air
preparing to enter His rest. I thought my pastor would surely know
what this meant but alas I, as usual, had more questions than there
were answers.
Since that experience I have striven to learn all I could about
this subject entering His rest, entering the Holy of Holies, the
Holy City of Jerusalem, plus Shiloh and Beulah Land and the Garden
Of Eden.
Have I whetted your appetite yet? What's in it for you? How do
you get there and why aren't people teaching on this? Well, they
are, first one and then another and another. This is a mystery revealed.
If you don't understand, in time you will, but in God's time. Now
walk with me please for the love of it.
When God invites man to enter his rest it is an awesome invitation,
not to be taken lightly. To enter His rest is to cease to yearn
for earthly pleasures. This does not mean to cease to want to eat
or to see or buy pretty things; it simply means that it won't be
a priority in your life anymore.
There are many people at these times that have entered His rest
and many are preparing too. Do you know any? Probably, but they
have no reason to announce it or may not even know what to call
this special place in the spirit that they have entered. You see,
this new person won't have an ego to pet or a need to gather followers
to make them feel complete. There will be a sense of peace; a contentment
about them that is out of place in this world and this sense of
peace will pervade their house and possessions. Worry won't darken
their door; but will they announce it? No, unless prompted by God
to reveal this to you. As more and more people enter this place
there will be such a move of the spirit that the world will literally
turn upside down in the spirit. Wake up my brothers and sisters.
Awake and Arise, for this is the Day of the Lord. Deuteronomy 3:20-22
Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto
you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God
hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man
unto his possession, which I have given you. {21} And I commanded
Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD
your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto
all the kingdoms whither thou passest. {22} You shall not fear them:
for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.
So here we see that fear will not be a part of our lives because
He will fight your battles even, sometimes, when you didn't know
there was one. Deuteronomy 12:10 But when ye go over Jordan, and
dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit,
and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so
that ye dwell in safety;
Here we see that we will live in safety. Any promise made to anyone
in the Bible also applies to us if we are called by him for that
particular calling. God is not a respecter of persons meaning that
if He qualifies you for a job He will equip you and His promises
are the same to Joshua as they are to you. He will do what He says
He will do. His words will not return unto Him void. Joshua 21:44
And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he
sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their
enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their
hand.
What has God told you concerning your children? Have you had doubts
about His promises coming to pass? Lay these doubts to rest now
and rejoice in this new day. Joshua 21:45 There failed not ought
of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel;
all came to pass.
When God says to tell them to enter My rest, you can be assured
that it is there for you. 1 Kings 5:4 But now the LORD my God hath
given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary
nor evil occurrent.
This would be a fairy tale if this was promised by any other than
God. In the insecurity that prevails in our lives this is a heaven
sent promise. 2 Chronicles 14:7 Therefore he said unto Judah, Let
us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates,
and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought
the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest
on every side. So they built and prospered.
So we see that not only does He fight your battles, delivers your
enemies into your hands, gives you peace, but that you also prosper
in your land. Would it not be a relief to know that our financial
situation is in God's hands and that we don't have reason to be
concerned about it? Job 11:18 And thou shalt be secure, because
there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take
thy rest in safety.
Hope is the spirit that is almost as strong as love. Hope will
sustain you in the face of defeat and camp around you as you enjoy
your rest. Isaiah 14:3 And it shall come to pass in the day that
the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear,
and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve.
We are in bondage to the powers that be and we are stopped on every
side by circumstances beyond our control. It is such a relief to
just rest and let God handle everything. Isaiah 14:4-7 That thou
shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say,
How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! {5} The LORD
hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
{6} He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he
that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
{7} The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into
singing.
Are you ready to sing? Are you ready for the new day in the Lord?
Isaiah 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may
cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing.
I am weary with this life that I have heretofore seen and I am
ready for the refreshing to take place. As a summer rain refreshes
the gardens so shall this spirit be as God's people enter His rest
and be assured many will because they have paid the price and are
even now receiving the promise. Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear,
lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of
you should seem to come short of it.
Hebrews 4:5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my
rest. {6} Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein,
and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of
unbelief: {7} Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David,
To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear
his voice, harden not your hearts. {8} For if Jesus had given them
rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. {9}
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. {10} For
he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own
works, as God did from his. {11} Let us labour therefore to enter
into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
To enter His rest is a very real place and it is open to a precious
few. YOU are not the first to receive the invitation and you assuredly
will not be the last but to desire this you need to learn of it
and this is the goal before me, to teach you who are called of God.
Come, enter His rest....
