Why
hasn't everyone caught on to entering God's rest? Because not everyone
can or wants to; neither is this offered to all people, but to a
chosen few. Numbers 16:5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all
his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will show who are his,
and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even
him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
Here
we see that God does the choosing and the events that proceeded
your coming to God was not your choice but God's; also we see that
He will show who are His.
Is
it not a blessing to be chosen out of all the billions of people
on the earth to do a work for the Lord at this time? Deuteronomy
18:5 For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes,
to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for
ever.
What
did he say he was called to do? Did he say that he was not to do
anything but be? No, no, and no again! He was called for a purpose
and, beyond that, chosen for a purpose. Joshua 24:22 And Joshua
said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye
have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
Your
life since you came to Christ is a witness to you that you are called
for a walk and you are to serve him. Psalms 33:12 Blessed is
the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen
for his own inheritance. You are blessed above all the earth
but the blessings are held in store for you until you can receive.
Proverbs
16:16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get
understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
The
wisdom that God gives you is more precious than all the gold in
the world. The wisdom of the Lord will allow you to be prosperous
but in a Godly way not in a worldly way. To get understanding, yes
to be chosen, you will have understanding, to have a knowledge of
the why and where of things both in the spirit and in the physical.
If the richest person in the world does not have a relationship
with God than he is a man most miserable.
Isaiah
:2-5 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from
the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and
thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. {3} For I will pour water upon
him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour
my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: {4}
And they shall spring up as among willows by the water courses.
{5} One shall say, I am the Lord's; and another shall call himself
by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand
unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel. If
you are thirsty for the anointing of the Lord then rest assured
that He is more than able to fill that thirst. The dry ground produces
no crops but after a flood there is new growth everywhere so if
you're dry ask for the flood and if you're thirsty ask for the water
that represents the word. The spiritual mirrors the physical and
once you understand that you can comprehend better. Matthew 20:16
So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called,
but few chosen.
Matthew
22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen. Many are called
to serve God but few ever devote their lives in service to God and
because they don't few are chosen to enter into his rest and enter
beyond the veil.
John
15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained
you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit
should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my
name, he may give it you. Before you knew Him, He chose you
and ordained you, gave you a ministry, put you in service for him
and you began to bring forth fruit. You produced after your kind
and you will come to a place in God that whatever you ask of Him
He shall give it to you. You have then entered into His rest, gone
beyond the veil, entered Holy Jerusalem, walked into Beulah Land
and so on, and so on.
Acts
22:14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that
thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest
hear the voice of his mouth. {15} For thou shalt be his witness
unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard. You will know
what His will is in your life and in other people's lives as the
spirit reveals it to you. You will know the Master's voice and no
more will you wonder was that God or yourself! Hallelujah!
Ephesians
1:4-11, 13 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation
of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him
in love: {5} Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children
by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his
will, {6} To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath
made us accepted in the beloved. {7} In whom we have redemption
through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches
of his grace; {8} Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom
and prudence; {9} Having made known unto us the mystery of his will,
according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
{10} That he might gather together in one all things in Christ,
both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: {11}
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated
according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the
counsel of his own will: You were chosen before Adam and Eve, even
before this world was created and you were chosen for now; in whom
also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit
of promise, You have been sealed by the angels as belonging
to God and He is calling to you to Come unto Him and taste of Him
that He is sweet. Love, more than you have ever known, awaits you.
Come.

Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God
for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the
beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the
Spirit and belief of the truth: Sanctification means cleansing
by the word, or water and the truth shall make you free. Don't you
feel free-er knowing that you don't have to please man but you have
to please the one who sees into your innermost thoughts and loves
you anyway and that He will help you to enter into this state with
Him if you'll just love Him back as much as He loves you.

Peter 2:2-5, 9-10 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of
the word, that ye may grow thereby: {3} If so be ye have tasted
that the Lord is gracious. {4} To whom coming, as unto a living
stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
{5} Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an
holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to
God by Jesus Christ. {9} But ye are a chosen generation, a royal
priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show
forth the praises of him who hath led you out of darkness into his
marvelous light: {10} Which in time past were not a people, but
are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now
have obtained mercy. You are indeed special and let no man tell
you different, Jesus saw something in you worth dying for and that
alone makes you special.
Revelation
17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall
overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they
that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. The
Lamb shall overcome, not might, not almost, but shall overcome.
Join the winning side and don't pull for the underdog in this battle
for your life because this is a battle for your life and death,
or a half existence in God is the outcome.
So
in this chapter we have seen that we can enter into this place with
God or be on the outside looking in. I never did like window shopping.
See you in the next chapter.
